Today, Doug LaMalfa stood behind Marjorie Taylor Greene as she condemned the 14 Republican Senators who voted for common sense gun control.

I'm a moderate on guns and I would have voted for this bill. I realize that many readers are upset that the legislation does not go far enough, but there are a lot of good reforms coming out of the first major gun regulation in 25 years. The bill includes millions of dollars for mental health, school safety, crisis intervention programs and incentives for states to include juvenile records in the National Instant Criminal Background Check system. It also makes significant changes to the process when someone ages 18 to 21 goes to buy a firearm.

Doug LaMalfa stands with the lunatic fringe of the GOP in opposing these reforms. He stands against the American public who are desperate to reduce gun violence. Americans are ready for some long overdue common sense gun regulations, and CD-01 is ready for a long overdue change in representation.
