Dear John,

“I’m where I am thanks to His mercies and I’ll never stop serving Him. I’m blessed for this opportunity…”

These striking words by Joshua Mwamburisays as he stood guard at a base for the Reach Mombasa Mission, are a timely reminder of where the Christian should stand in Christ Jesus; Always serving humbly and thankfully, never forgetting the mercies of our Redeemer.

Joshua’s story is part of the Mombasa Mission report but his attitude and service to the Lord is echoed in all the other reports in this month’s Harambee.

As we sit in our comfortable homes, we can be greatly encouraged that the Lord, through His mercies allows us to partner with thousands of humble faithful brothers and sisters in Christ. These wonderful dedicated co-labourers in the Gospel reach out to  vast multitudes in Word and Deed so that many may be saved and uplifted from extremely difficult conditions.

I am reminded of 1 Chronicles 29:14 where King David and his people, after giving all they could for the construction of the Temple said “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand."

Thank you for enabling the work that is done through AE in Africa. Your prayers and financial support are key to this ministry!

May you and your family be greatly blessed by our Lord and Saviour,

Jorge
