I’m very pleased with this recent development. Governor Greg Abbott has publicly endorsed my border plan and has called on all Texas Republicans to get behind it.

You can read my full Washington Examiner article that the Gov. Abbott tweeted here ([link removed]) . This is a quick run down of the main points of my border plan:
1. Require DHS to carry out border enforcement policies, by closing the asylum loophole. We must defund and prosecute organizations promoting the illegal activities of bogus asylum claims.
2. Complete all physical border infrastructure. This includes building 600 miles of fencing around the border and improving roads along the Rio Grande.
3. Require ICE to remove all illegal immigrants through full interior enforcement. This means strengthening interior enforcement, increasing penalties for violations and aggressively removing visa overstays.
4. Target cartels and designate them as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. This designation would open up new sanctions, penalties, and authorities that would allow the government to prosecute or deport all cartel members, associates, and affiliates.
I want to thank you for your continued support ([link removed]) . Abbott’s endorsement of my plan is a clear, strategic victory in our political fight. Of course, many obstacles and a ton of work remain.
If we keep the pressure on and not shy away from speaking the truth boldly, we will take back America. You know that I will continue to do that.
