Tom recently walked in the Indy Pride Parade to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community’s progress and acknowledge the work that remains to secure justice and equality for all LGBTQ+ people.

Tom handed out pride flags and stood alongside LGBTQ+ Hoosiers and allies to reaffirm our commitment to making Indiana a welcoming state for folks of all backgrounds.

As the mayor of Hammond for over 18 years, Tom has incredible experience leading a diverse city and has always been on the cutting edge to ensure every person feels welcome.

In fact, Tom was one of the first mayors in Indiana to fight in favor of LGBTQ+ policies and looks forward to further championing LGBTQ+ justice once we send him to the U.S. Senate to bring real Hoosier values to Washington.
