A few days ago, while I was leaving an event in Rifle, Colorado, someone threw something at me and shouted a homophobic slur.
I have hesitated if I even wanted to bring this up, but I think it’s important I share this with you.
You see, according to multiple studies most LGBTQ people have experienced harrassment soley because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
This wasn't the first time this has happened while on the campaign trail, and honestly, I don’t think it’ll be the last.
With alt-right extremists dogpiling on marginalized communities – and the rising popularity of being homophobic or transphobic for shits and giggles – it’s never been more important to support people who are unapologetically themselves and can stand up to the hate.
John, I don’t think Lauren Boebert will be accepting of my community any time soon – and people like her have blood on their hands for the rapidly increasing suicide rates of LGBTQ kids in Colorado.
While I’m running to actually do something about this, Lauren Boebert is ready to post some of the most backwards, anti-LGBTQ bullshit you’ve seen on Twitter.
