John -- this week, the Senate took an important step forward in our work to address gun violence by voting to advance a bipartisan gun safety framework.

I’m especially pleased that the legislation includes a provision based on my bill to close the boyfriend loophole. This change will keep guns out of the hands of abusive dating partners convicted of domestic violence.

It’s long past time that we pass this kind of commonsense reform. Will you contribute a few dollars today to support my work in the Senate to get this bill across the finish line? [[link removed]]

As a former prosecutor, I’ve seen firsthand the serious toll domestic violence can take on victims -- particularly when a gun is involved. That’s why I’ve spent years fighting for this life-saving reform to our nation’s gun laws.

It’s so important that we get this done and finally end Congress’s unconscionable decades of inaction on gun violence. I’m ready to make it happen -- if you’re also ready then please, donate today to help power my work. [[link removed]]

Thank you so much.

-- Amy
