The Federal Election Commission fundraising deadline is at midnight on June 30. Why does it matter so much? Well, after that, we have to report everything that our campaign has raised in the last three months — and it will be publicly available on the FEC website.
That means everybody, from reporters, to potential voters, to Mark Green and his campaign, will be looking to see how we stack up. They’ll be looking to see if there are enough people in this movement to even come close to competing with a self-funding millionaire backed by corporate PAC money like Mark Green.
Right now, to be honest, we are behind where we need to be. The last few months have been tough for our digital fundraising, and the timing couldn’t be worse as we try to put together a major organizing effort all across the 7th District.
