When I first ran for Congress in 2018, having the support of sitting Members of Congress and organizations was crucial. So in this critical Election Year, I’m committed to throwing my support behind candidates who I really believe in.

From spending a decade in the labor movement advocating for retail workers and meatpackers, to leading the fight in Illinois to pass a $15 minimum wage, Nikki has always fought for working families.

Nikki’s race is the only Republican-held open seat in the Midwest and this is a must-win seat if Democrats are going to hold the majority.

It's what we call a "red-to-blue" district, and it's going to be extremely competitive — a lot like my own first campaign for Congress. In 2018, I challenged a Republican and won one of the closest races of the year — helping secure our Democratic majority.
