Connecticut can play a more crucial role in the 2024 Presidential election by being an early primary state:
- Connecticut voters will set the tone of the race as national reporters visit our state early and often;
- Demographically, Connecticut offers an ideal representation of the United States, highlighting America’s racial, ethnic, and economic diversity;
- Connecticut voters are uniquely involved in local and state politics, offering a true measure of the substance of a candidate's campaign and character;
- Plus, Connecticut’s diverse and compact landscape will allow Presidential candidates to directly interact with voters in vibrant cities and charming rural towns across the state!
For decades, states like Iowa and New Hampshire have had the privilege of holding their primary contests or caucuses before everyone else while we waited until the last Tuesday in April of Presidential years, despite Connecticut being an ideal setting for an early primary.
The residents of Connecticut are deeply passionate and involved with local, state and national politics.
We are confident that Connecticut is more than prepared to meet the moment — add your name if you agree:
