Friends,

Clean, renewable energy is key in the fight to save our planet for future generations from a climate crisis.

Here’s the good news: North Carolina is a leader in renewable resources. Our state has the third highest solar capacity in the country, and businesses from the mountains to the coast are investing more in clean energy initiatives.

Now — while temperatures continue to climb this summer — is not the time to stop these efforts.

We need accessible solutions for energy that can help protect our environment. That’s why earlier this year, my team and I filed a friend of the court brief in the North Carolina Supreme Court to support individual homeowners against an HOA that wanted to stop them from installing solar panels on their home.

And last week, the NC Supreme Court ruled in favor of homeowners' rights to install solar panels on their homes. This is a big win for homeowners’ property rights and for clean energy, FirstName.

North Carolinians must be able to use clean energy alternatives to power their lives and protect our environment. We have a beautiful state with rich natural resources, and I know that protecting it doesn’t just mean preserving our coastlines and fighting for clean air and water — it also means advancing our economy and generating new investments in the technologies of the future.

But I can’t do this work without your help.

Can you chip in today to support my campaign and continue the fight for a pristine and prosperous North Carolina? [[link removed]]
