John -
We’re off to a strong start for Giving Tuesday, but your support is crucial to reaching our $25,000 matching goal before midnight tonight. Will you make a matched donation now towards our goal and help close the door on corruption?
Here at CREW, we take innovative legal action to fight corruption and dark money. But we don’t just take legal action—we also do groundbreaking research, craft innovative policy reforms, and raise public awareness about ethics and corruption.
In 2019, our Hatch Act complaints against Kellyanne Conway led to the Office of Special Counsel calling for her removal from federal service for her repeated violations. CREW Senior Advisor Walter Shaub and I both testified in front of Congress in support of much-needed ethics reforms. After 7 years and 3 CREW lawsuits, a major dark money group was forced to disclose its donors, a first since Citizens United. Our investigations and FOIA requests led to explosive discoveries about President Trump’s corruption, and we launched a live tracker of President Trump’s conflicts of interest.
Those are just a few examples of our work in 2019, and we’ll continue the fight against corruption for as long as it takes. Your support has enabled us to grow and keep pace with this administration’s seemingly endless corruption, and as we prepare to continue the fight in 2020, I hope you’ll consider making a matched donation now. Contribute now to help us reach our $25,000 matching goal for Giving Tuesday.
Thank you for your support,
Noah Bookbinder
