Folks, I hope you saw the message yesterday from Paul Kramer.

Six years ago, Paul experienced the ultimate heartbreak as a parent, when his son was shot and gravely injured during a mass shooting in Mukilteo. The assailant used an AR-15 assault weapon.

I am committed to the fight to ban the sale of assault weapons because no parent should ever have to experience the pain and heartbreak that Paul and so many others have endured.

If you are in this fight with me, please chip in $10 or whatever you can to show the gun lobby that we’re not backing down. [[link removed]]

And, if you haven’t had the chance, read the message from Paul Kramer below.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi friend,

Six years ago, I experienced what so many parents across our country fear and dread. My son was shot and gravely injured when a fellow student entered his friend’s home and opened fire with an AR-15 with a 30-round high-capacity magazine.

Bob Ferguson immediately reached out to me. Ever since, we’ve been working together to fix our gun laws and keep people safe across Washington.

Bob Ferguson is our state’s greatest champion for gun reform. That’s why I’m asking for your help to make sure Bob can continue to fight for our children, our communities, and our future.

I know how frightening and frustrating it is to turn on the news and see another senseless shooting, hear the same desperate calls for change, and watch the same broken system fail to get anything done.

That’s why I’m grateful to have Bob leading responsible gun reform in Washington state. He knows it isn’t enough to talk about what needs to change. He is actively proposing bills to stop senseless gun violence. Thanks to him, after six years, our state legislature passed Bob’s proposal to ban the sale of high-capacity magazines.

I know Bob. He is 110% committed to this fight. For the last six years, Bob has proposed a bill to ban the sale of assault weapons. Our legislature has not acted on this legislation. Bob has promised to continue to propose this bill every year until the legislature acts. Bob won’t let up.

Now is the time to step up. The gun lobby already filed a lawsuit against Bob to stop the ban on the sale of high-capacity magazines from going into effect. Bob is defending this life-saving legislation in court.

It’s on us to show our support for Bob’s work on behalf of Washingtonians.

So, I’m asking: will you chip in $10 to support Bob and make sure Washington is a leading force against gun violence?
