We’ve got a real problem.

This is what the graph tracking our fundraising over the last 2 months looks like – do you see anything strange about this?

That’s right – the last week of May, fundraising started drying up out of nowhere, and 3 weeks later, it’s down to barely a trickle.

We’re in real trouble, here.

And we don’t understand why, because surely by know everyone knows what’s at stake in this year’s midterms!

John, if we don’t pull out of this nosedive before the end of the month, we’re not even sure how we’re going to keep the lights on, let alone do everything we need to do to save democracy in this year’s midterms.

The fact is, we have just over FOUR MONTHS to go before Election Day.  That’s no time at all.

But right when we should be ramping up our efforts to support our endorsed candidates and mobilize rural and working-class activists to get out the vote, we’re instead taking a hard look at the books and figuring out what we’re going to have to cut just to stay in the fight at all.

Now is NOT the time for this!  We need your support now more than ever to fund our fight to:

• Reach rural and working-class voters
• Protect and expand our House and Senate majorities
• Stop Trump and his handpicked loyalists from taking over our election system
• End the filibuster
• Save Roe v. Wade and our right to choose
• Protect voting rights
• Stop harmful attacks on LGBTQ+ people and their families
• End gun violence and mass shootings
• Give families a break at the register and the pump
• Expand access to affordable healthcare

… and everything else that’s at stake in this year’s critical midterms!

But you saw the chart – this is, no exaggeration, the worst fundraising month we’ve had all year.

Blame it on the “summer slump,” blame it on inflation, blame it on gas prices … ultimately, it doesn’t matter what the reason is – because it doesn’t change the fact that if we don’t get a massive influx of financial support before the end of June, we simply may not be able to reach enough rural and working-class voters this year to make a difference and save American democracy from the Radical Right.

So please, rush whatever you can afford today to make sure that doesn’t happen.

John, we hate writing these letters as much as you hate getting them. But the simple fact is, we can’t do anything without your financial support, and these emails raise a HUGE majority of our funding.

Our average contribution is just $18.04, which we’re honestly so proud of – it means we’ve built a true grassroots coalition of everyday Americans who care enough to pitch in whatever they can, whenever they can to build a better future for all of us and our children.

But it also means we need to fight ten times harder to compete with dark money-funded Republicans like Donald Trump, Eric Greitens, Dr. Oz, Herschel Walker, JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and all the rest of the awful GQP politicians our endorsed candidates are bravely taking on.

So, whatever you can afford, we hope you’ll dig deep to get us back on track before the end of the month.  We’ll keep you posted on our progress.
