I also ran into someone I didn’t expect to - my former opponent from my State Rep race in 2020.
That race was interesting, and he was unnecessarily mean to me, spreading false information and negative mailers. Which, in hindsight, was a waste of money on his part. 😉
But do you know what I said to him when I saw him?
“Hey, how are you doing!? I didn’t peg you as a Backstreet Boys fan.”
He told me his wife dragged him along. 😂 Then, I told him I hope he has a good summer. It was *that* easy to be nice.
People are tired of nasty and ugly politics. They want leaders who will show up for Arkansans and work to improve our lives. They want leaders with integrity.
You’ll never see me use unflattering photos of my current opponent, talk about what she’s wearing, and you sure won’t hear me say anything about her that I wouldn’t say to her face.
Let’s be clear: that doesn’t mean I won’t call out lousy policy -- because I want to make sure you know what’s at stake in the race for Lieutenant Governor.
I will advocate for healthcare that LGBTQ+ families may need, gun responsibility policy, and a pregnant person’s ability to access any support that they need.
These are not policies my opponent supports.
Arkansans deserve a leader who will advocate for what our most vulnerable need so that everyone can do well here.
But running for statewide office isn’t cheap. From the cost of travel to mailers, it adds up.
We need to be ready to ensure voters know the facts about who I am and what I’m actually working for.
If you’re in a position to help me reach voters across the state with the truth, then I could really use your contribution today. Can I count on your support?
