Children are now more at risk of dying from gun violence than car accidents or cancer.
We can’t just go on accepting this as our reality. We need to do something.
Earlier this month, I voted for commonsense gun-safety measures including raising the age for buying semi-automatic weapons, banning bump stocks and high-capacity magazines for civilians, and creating stronger regulations for ghost guns.
This isn’t about taking away people’s guns. These are proven methods for preventing violence and saving lives.
After Uvalde, Buffalo, Parkland, Las Vegas, Orlando, Sandy Hook, Columbine -- and too many other mass shootings to count -- we owe it to the victims and their loved ones to do something about gun violence.
It looks like the Senate is on the verge of coming to a bipartisan agreement on gun safety. Let’s keep the pressure up. Add your name and call on the Senate to address gun violence ASAP.
