Environmental Emergency Management Conference taking place June 29-30 at the Lansing Center
WHAT: The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is hosting the first-ever Environmental Emergency Management Conference June 29-30, 2022, at the Lansing Center. The event is designed to help communities and partner agencies with preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery related to incidents impacting the environment and public health. The conference will kick off with a plenary presentation on the Coast Guard Great Lakes Center of Expertise for Oil Spill Response. Breakout sessions will include special presentations ? Lansing Fire Department, HAZMAT Team, and Planning for Natural Disaster Debris to Increase Community Resiliency. WHO: Over 200 attendees include federal, state, and local emergency response personnel; public health officials; facility emergency managers; contractors; consultants; academia; or anyone within the emergency response community. Exhibitors also will display their services and products.
