Dear John,

Today, we are thrilled to announce our next wave of 2022 candidates. These 12 brilliant candidates are running in 7 critical states, where everything from abortion access, voting rights, common-sense gun laws, climate policy, and LGBTQ+ rights are at stake.

Election Day is just 4 short months away, and these candidates don’t have a moment to lose. Please join us in donating $20.22 today to ensure progressives have the power to fight for the needs of the communities they represent.

Our second wave of 2022 candidates features inspiring individuals including doctors, nurses, teachers, first-generation Americans, community activists, LGBTQ+ candidates, the only South Asian representative in the Pennsylvania House, and the first Asian-American in the Georgia State Senate.

The candidates, from Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada, and North Carolina, are:

  • Lorena Austin (AZ LD-9)
  • Eva Burch (AZ LD-9)
  • Rachel Hood (MI HD-81)
  • Arvind Venkat (PA HD-30)
  • Johanny Cepeda (PA HD-129)
  • Michelle Au (GA HD-50)
  • Jasmine Clark (GA HD-108)
  • Lee Snodgrass (WI AD-57)
  • Tip McGuire (WI AD-64)
  • Brittney Miller (NV AD-5)
  • Daniele Monroe-Moreno (NV AD-1)
  • Deb Butler (NC HD-18)

This week, the January 6 Committee hearings have reminded us just how much is at stake in this election. Not only did President Trump pressure state lawmakers to overturn the election results, but many of the insurrectionists who invaded the Capitol that day are now running for state office.

Don’t wait until November – now is the time to take action. The Sister District community already has volunteer opportunities to support our candidates, including candidate meet and greets, fun fundraising events, as well as voter contact activities like phonebanking, postcarding, textbanking, and canvassing. Or, please donate $20.22 now to help these critical campaigns hit the ground running in AZ, MI, PA, GA, WI, NV, and NC.

We are so grateful to have you with us in this fight.

Let’s go win!
The Sister District Team
