Suicidal Doesn’t Always Look Suicidal

125 people die by suicide in the UK every week. Yet it can be hard - sometimes impossible - to notice that someone may be suicidal.

Today we’re launching our latest campaign featuring the last photos and videos of people before they took their own lives.

The truth is anyone can feel suicidal - but, by starting a conversation, all of us can help save a life.

Suicidal doesn't always look suicidal

We Need To Talk About Suicide

18 people a day die by suicide. So why do we hardly ever talk about it? The first step in tackling the devastating suicide rate in the UK and the world is to get comfortable talking about suicide.

A conversation can be all it takes to change the course of someone’s life, so we’re asking all of you to shout about suicide, share our campaign, and learn more about how to talk about the stuff that goes on in your head - even if it’s awkward.

Take a minute to talk about suicide

Will, 46

"I was 12 years old when I lost my Dad to suicide. He didn’t want to die, he just couldn’t see an alternative. I live in hope that, one day, everyone in this world knows what the signs of suicidal ideation are, and will feel confident enough to ask someone the question if they’re ever worried"

Harry, Will’s son
