John -- despite all of the ups and downs along the way, this fight for our democracy can be told in three acts:
- First, in 2011, Republicans manipulated electoral districts across the country to lock in power in state legislatures and Congress.
- Then, we wiped away their unearned advantage during this redistricting cycle. Our movement's hard-earned gains mean that three-quarters of the states are entering this decade with fair congressional maps.
- Now, we anticipate increased determination from map manipulators and vote suppressors who have seen our success and are looking at new ways to rig the playing field in their favor.
We are in danger of slipping into a political apartheid system in this country. That’s a dark path, but I remain determined to do everything in my power to stop it. It’s important that I have your support along the way, and I deeply appreciate any donation you’re able to give. Fundraising for All On The Line has slowed in June, and my team believes it would help us get back on track if we receive 28 donations from DC today.

Let’s be honest, John:
It’s unbelievable that the United States Supreme Court is even contemplating overturning Roe v. Wade in what would be a tremendous blow to reproductive rights in this country.
It’s even more unbelievable that this momentous decision could be made because of a subset of Supreme Court justices appointed by presidents who lost the popular vote.
Whether it’s stacking courts, manipulating maps, or installing Trump acolytes in election positions, it must stop. We cannot allow this continued short-circuiting of our democracy.
It’s time to show strength in the face of this new onslaught of attacks on fair elections and our fundamental rights. Can I count on you to invest $15 in our cause this evening?
