John—
I'll keep this short.
The Senate just announced the bipartisan gun safety, mental health, and school safety bill it will vote on.
This is a historic moment, and puts our country closer than ever to having its first major gun safety law in over 25 years. If passed, the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act will save lives.
But with the text of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act now public, the NRA has made clear it will be coming out in full force to oppose it.
We can win. We are built for this moment. We need to keep up the pressure. Send a message telling your U.S. senators to vote yes on the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act—and if you already have, it's time to send a message again!
Ten years ago, there were few lawmakers who would stand up to the NRA. Because of consistent advocacy from supporters like you, we've dramatically changed the landscape. Now, we're incredibly close to getting long-overdue action that can help save lives in communities across the country.
We've fought hard to get here.
We've made sure our senators can't look away from this crisis.
Now, let's make it count.
Thank you for being a part of this movement.
