U.S. AG to Ukraine

The United States attorney general, Merrick B. Garland, made a surprise trip to Ukraine on Tuesday and announced the appointment of a veteran prosecutor known for investigating former Nazis to lead American efforts in tracking Russian war criminals, as the NYT reports.

India to Load Up on Russian Crude

The Indian government has asked state oil companies to scoop up huge volumes of cheap crude from Russia, as the WSJ reports.

U.S. begins vaccinating young children against coronavirus

Immunizations became available Tuesday for about 19 million children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years, the last group of Americans to be afforded that protection, as the Washington Post reports.
