Lizzie was back home in Houston this past weekend, updating constituents on her work and answering questions from TX-07 neighbors.  

She has been out and about at home lately, checking in with people across the district, as she promised she would — from celebrating PRIDE month to meeting people in areas that will be new additions to the seventh district, including Houston's International District.

This past weekend, the Texas GOP held its convention in Houston where they approved an extreme agenda that included claiming without evidence President Biden’s 2020 victory was “illegitimate,” undermining Congress’ bipartisan efforts to address gun violence in our communities, and other anti-choice and homophobic measures.

“The actions capped a convention that highlighted how adamantly opposed the [GOP’s] most active and vocal members are to compromising with Democrats or moderating on social positions.”

The Texas GOP’s platform seeks to further divide us.  Lizzie is working across the political divide to bring us together and get things done for Texas — like strengthening common sense gun-safety measures and protecting Texans’ — and all Americans' — access to reproductive care.

Moments like this are a reminder that this November, we need to elect leaders in Texas and across the country who are working to address our biggest challenges — not divide us.

We’re asking members of #TeamLizzie to share their thoughts about the economy.  We’ve already heard from many of you that going into the election, we need to talk to voters about how fast the economy is growing — from record job gains to rising wages.  Lizzie is working to build on those gains and continue rebuilding and strengthening our economy, and we’re talking to TX-07 voters about her efforts.
