Dear Jack,

This Giving Tuesday, act on our shared values!

Giving Tuesday is a chance to stand with tribal peoples as they continue to fight on the frontlines against environmental destruction and climate change. Please support us in our goal to reach $25,000 for the global movement for tribal peoples.

When you support Survival, you’re standing up for:

Tribal peoples’ right to live differently

The hectic shopping of Black Friday is a reminder that the world needs tribal peoples. There’s a lot to learn from their sustainable ways of life. Many put the community before the individual and share possessions rather than amass personal wealth. Indigenous societies are a vital part of humanity’s diversity.

Respect for indigenous knowledge

Tribal societies understand the natural world and are expert conservationists. It’s now proven beyond doubt that tribal peoples are the best guardians of the environment. In the Amazon, deforestation rates in indigenous territories are 5 times lower and forest fires are 9 times less common.

It’s time to put indigenous voices at the center of efforts to fight climate change.

An anti-colonial approach to conservation, education and development

Tribal peoples have a right to determine their own futures. We work in partnership with tribes to make indigenous voices heard by people in power.

We won’t give up until tribal peoples are respected as contemporary societies and in control of their lives and lands.

This year, your donations have helped fight fires in the Amazon, have brought indigenous voices to the largest climate strikes in world history, and have worked to prevent mass evictions of tribal communities from their ancestral homes.

Continue to stand up for the values we share. Support Survival this Giving Tuesday.
