Earlier this month, the ultraconservative Supreme Court made an alarming decision to shield CBP agents from civil lawsuits.
This decision effectively gives Border Patrol agents who violate the Constitution total immunity from lawsuits seeking to hold them accountable — and it will allow further violence to be inflicted upon immigrant communities without justice.

The Supreme Court has now empowered CBP agents to violate the rights and property of ANYONE within 100 miles from the border — an enforcement zone containing more than 200 million people. That’s why we’re not just fighting for reform — we’re fighting to defund and abolish these violent agencies.
- Last month, we sent more than 35,000 texts to mobilize supporters to call on President Biden and Democratic leadership to cut funding for ICE and CBP.
- We also participated in a Week of Action where immigrant youth rallied with allies across the country to expose ICE’s cruelty, and demand lawmakers reimagine safety and provide crucial funding for their communities.
