Eric Sorensen, meteorologist and Democrat running for Congress in IL-17 here. I find that many politicians post about Pride Month at the start of June. But as a member of the community, I wanted to share with you some of the local Quad Cities events that I hold near and dear, and those were this past weekend!
It’s pretty surprising that Illinois has never elected an openly LGBTQ individual to Congress. My election would be historic, and I promise to be a voice for every Illinoisian who feels as if they don’t belong. Let’s make history together, and send a message this Pride month that hate has no place in our community.
