John --

This week, I joined a Bicameral Congressional Delegation on a trip to Madrid, Spain for the 25th United Nations Convention on Climate Change (COP25).

In 2015, 195 countries adopted a historic, international agreement to limit global warming and avert a climate emergency -- the Paris Climate Agreement. Tens of thousands of elected officials, business leaders, and scientists from across the globe are in Madrid this week to make sure the framework of this agreement is implemented and upheld.

President Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement sent a message to the global community that we no longer lead on global climate change. That is clearer to me now than ever before. Despite that, I’m proud to have this opportunity to remind the world that the American people are still here and still committed to ending the climate crisis.

Will you add your name to join me in calling on this administration to reverse its decision and keep the U.S. in the Paris Climate Agreement? >> [link removed]

There’s no doubt the threat of climate change is real and that the United States can’t afford to waste any more time debating it. Our environment, our economy, and future generations depend on the actions that we take right now.

Let’s send the global community a message that if Trump won’t step up, the American people will. Sign my petition: Demand that the United States remain in the Paris Climate Agreement. >>[link removed]

Thanks for your support,

Mike
