Dear NRDC Action Fund Activist,
Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto in Nevada. Lt. Gov. John Fetterman in
Pennsylvania. Both are running for the U.S. Senate against fossil
fuel-backed politicians in November's midterm elections — and both could
have a profound impact on our climate future.
Whether or not they win could mean the difference between passing
much-needed climate legislation or edging closer to the brink of
catastrophe.
We're gearing up to do everything we can to defeat their fossil fuel
apologist opponents, but we need your help.

We've already faced some major challenges this year — and we're now
awaiting the Supreme Court's ruling on West Virginia v. EPA, which could
gut the authority of the EPA to regulate climate-busting pollution from
power plants and other corporate polluters.
That means it's more important than ever that Congress takes bold action
to expand clean energy, protect the energy grid, and slash climate
pollution — and we can't afford to let these climate change deniers run
rampant in Congress. We know what they'll do: Clear the way for their
allies in Big Oil and Big Coal to drain our natural resources and destroy
the environment.

climate puzzle. We need to do MORE.
That's why, with your help, the NRDC Action Fund is:
* Mobilizing more pro-environment voters to get to the polls, especially
in key states with some of the closest Congressional and gubernatorial
races, to elect environmental champions who will fight for us, not
polluters
* Supporting senators who will vote to confirm fair, impartial Supreme
Court justices and vote against agenda-driven ideologues who side with
corporate polluters
* Building a network of local climate activists who are fighting for
environmental progress and healthy communities in states, cities, and
towns across the country
* Sounding the alarm about Big Oil's cynical schemes and calling on
Congress to break America's fossil fuel addiction by advancing
critical clean energy legislation
* Keeping climate at the forefront in Washington by escalating pressure
on the Biden administration to accelerate our transition to a 100%
clean energy future

year is ending soon — the time when we marshal our resources and determine
how much we're able to invest in these all-important fights for our
