But I have to tell you, it can be frustrating sometimes: Often, when important climate legislation gets close to passing through the California Legislature, corporate polluters and the fossil fuel industry (and their deep pockets) do everything in their power to kill or weaken it. To overcome Big Oil and pass meaningful climate legislation, we simply need more resources. Can you help, please? Even a few dollars will make a big difference: |

This year, I’m so excited about how much progress we’ve already made: Our sponsored bill, the Climate Corporate Accountability Act (SB 260), passed the Senate in January and is making significant progress in the Assembly so far! Now it’s one step closer to Governor Newsom’s desk for signing – and we’re one step closer to holding corporate polluters accountable in California! But I won’t sugarcoat it: We’re facing a steep uphill battle for the rest of summer to push all of our climate bills through the Legislature to the Governor’s desk. Friend, this is where you come in. You are the key to helping us not only take on these battles but also win them. So I’m making a personal request: Please consider donating today to support our legislative and accountability work in Sacramento. We could really use your help » Together, we can make 2022 the year for transformative climate justice. Thank you! |
