You may have noticed I don’t have a slogan, catchphrase, or token issue.

Yes, I’m a doctor, and I care a lot about lowering the cost of health care and prescription drugs. I even have a healthcare plan reviewed by industry experts.

But I also deployed to Iraq twice, and it’s important to me that my fellow veterans are taken care of when they return home. So, I have a 10-page plan on how Congress can better support veterans and their families.

And I’m raising my family in California, so climate change and their future is top of mind. During the fires last year my seven-year old son with asthma couldn’t go outside, and spent his days in coughing fits. I’m working on a plan to address wildfire prevention, win raises for firefighters, and protect our clean air.

So I suppose if I were to have a slogan it would have to be Dr. Kermit Jones: Not a Bumper Sticker Candidate.

Team, if you’re ready to elect a Democrat who wants to champion all the issues and get really into the details, then I hope to earn your support, because that’s who I am.
