As Republicans try to talk about ANYTHING but the January 6th Committee hearings, they’ve rallied around one of their core messages: Prices are too high.

And prices are too high. But Republicans could not be more wrong in their explanation for why that is. Republicans think that with a sleight of hand, they can hide the true drivers of high prices: a world-altering pandemic, a Russian war of aggression in Ukraine throwing global markets into disarray, and corporate greed run amok. Instead, they’re hoping you’ll somehow believe that prices are high because of Democrats. What!?

Here’s the truth: Democrats have been focused on lowering prices, but because of our narrow majority in the Senate, Republicans have been able to obstruct our cost-cutting legislation. You see, they’d rather use inflation as a political talking point than do anything about it.

David has been leading the fight to combat corporate monopolies, end price gouging, and provide relief to American consumers. But at every step, Republicans have been sabotaging these crucial efforts.

We need more Democrats in office so that Republicans aren’t able to play political games with people’s livelihood. Put Republicans on notice: Help us reduce prices or get out of the way.
