Solenn* was only 12 years old when she was first sold online in the Philippines. She was too young to understand what was happening to her and had no one to protect her from the traffickers who streamed her abuse live to a growing audience of strangers.
Solenn’s story is horrific but all too common in the Philippines and around the world. So many children are being victimized through online sexual exploitation — a crime that your support has tremendous impact in stopping.

Today, after her rescue, Solenn is committed to sharing her story to inspire other girls who’ve been exploited. “I never thought I could still be of help to children like me who thought that this life was hopeless,” she says. But even as Solenn works with us to help survivors, the demand continues to rise online and the number of children at risk is growing.
In the past year, instances of children being exploited online tripled — but thanks to the support of friends like you, rescue continues to happen.
Just weeks ago in April, IJM teams worked with our international partners to help rescue 23 child victims of online trafficking and arrest 3 suspected perpetrators in the Philippines. Investigations are underway and rescue planning continues.
