In the more than two decades since Columbine, studies have shown that adding armed police officers, “hardening” school buildings, and pushing to arm teachers has done nothing to stem the tide of gun violence in our schools.
There are two bills before Congress right now. One has passed the House, and the other is being negotiated in the Senate.
While these bills are hailed as bipartisan gun reform, neither includes the necessary changes that could have prevented the massacre at Uvalde, Buffalo, or any other recent mass shooting.
The vast majority of Americans support common sense gun safety. Let’s get the right people elected to get it done. |
Brand New Congress
P.S. BNC is still around $7,000 short of our June fundraising target, and we’re running out of time to catch up. We urgently need contributions to get us back on track so we can support our candidates in all the elections ahead.
