I’m Justin, Michael’s campaign manager. This isn’t my first campaign, but I’m working hard to re-elect Michael because I believe health care should be affordable, climate change is an urgent threat to our way of life, and our economy should work for everyone — no matter where they come from.

Michael fought to ban surprise emergency medical bills, passed legislation to improve access to clean water on Tribal Lands, expanded the monthly Child Tax Credit that kept nearly 4 million kids out of poverty, and helped pass historic legislation to repair our roads and bridges and create good-paying jobs. This re-election campaign is about building on that work.

But campaigns are no cakewalk, folks, and midterm elections are historically challenging. We’re building out our organizing strategy, training volunteers, and optimizing our advertising program so we can reach voters across Colorado to amplify Michael’s work. It’s no easy feat, especially because a heated GOP primary has two far-right candidates attacking Michael’s record as they race to the finish line.

The general election starts in nine days, and Michael’s opponent will hit the ground running with the National GOP’s $100 million war chest ready to bolster his campaign. We don’t need to outraise the Republicans because we run an efficient campaign and we have Michael’s strong record to help us along, but we do need to stay on track with our fundraising goals.

Right now, we’re $21,750 short of where we should be, but if everyone reading this email pitches in a donation of any amount, we’ll start the general election strong.
