Hello,
No family should be forced to choose between life-saving medication and putting groceries on the table. But Big Pharma is constantly raising the price of medicine at a rate many families can’t keep up with.
Health care is a right, not a privilege. But to make that a reality, we must come together and demand action.
Peter’s been a steadfast leader in the fight to lower the cost of prescription drugs. He helped pass legislation to let Medicare negotiate lower drug prices, but it stalled in the Senate. There are simply too many Senators in the pocket of Big Pharma, rooting for these plans to fail.
But Peter continues to fight. Some of the measures he’s working hard to pass include capping the out-of-pocket cost of insulin at $35 a month, limiting Big Pharma from raising prices beyond the rate of inflation, and directly lowering out-of-pocket costs for seniors.
These steps will make a direct difference, but we need to keep fighting together to finish what we started.
Add your name right away: Congress must lower prescription drug prices.
Thanks for being a part of the team,
Team Welch
