John,

Ten of the top Democratic candidates for president, including Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris, just walked off the stage, concluding the first two 2020 Democratic debates.

Yesterday’s and tonight’s debates were the first time that the top 20 Democratic candidates shared a national stage to show the American people who they are and what they’re fighting for. For the first time in our country’s history, we saw a multitude of women and people of color on that stage, many who share the same progressive values we do.

Now we’re officially launching our third 2020 Presidential Pulse Poll with an important twist: Let us know who your top Democratic candidates are AND what progressive policies matter most to you in this critical race.

TAKE OUR POLL

The 2020 election is about more than just kicking Donald Trump out of the White House. It’s about making health care affordable for every single person, so that no one has to choose between life-saving medication like insulin or putting food on the table. It’s about saving our dying planet by addressing the climate crisis head-on and taking bold action to create green jobs and move us to a renewable energy future before it’s too late. It’s about making education accessible to everyone, without burdening students with years of debt. It’s about finally tackling immigration reform and treating migrants and refugees seeking asylum with the dignity and humanity they deserve. It’s also about protecting and restoring the integrity of our democracy, becoming a nation that values its diversity and cares for all its citizens, regardless of race, national origin, ability, how they identify or who they love.

I could go on and on, because the truth is, SO MUCH is on the line when we head to the polls in November 2020. That’s why it’s critical for us at DFA to know not only who you support right now, but why you stand with them. So in this new Presidential Pulse Poll, we’re not just asking who your top candidates are, but what issue is driving your support for them.

Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, and Beto O’Rourke took the Top 3 in our first round of polling. In our second round, Bernie held first place, but Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg entered the leadership board. Who will be DFA members’ favorites now as we enter this critical next phase? Vote now to let us know >>

As we continue building the resources to organize and get out the vote for DFA members’ top pick for president in 2020, we can’t wait to see where you stand at this important moment, and we look forward to sharing the results with you -- and the media -- in mid-July.

Thanks for all you do,

-Yvette
