Dear John,
In zoos and nature parks around the UK, thousands of baby birds like flamingos, storks and cranes are having their wings severed at just a few days old, simply so visitors can get close to them.Â
We have exposed this barbaric practice, named ‘pinioning’ where newly born birds have the half of one wing amputated, leaving these poor chicks disabled for life. They will never be able to fly.
I am reaching out to you today to help save birds from this horrific fate. To join the fight to BAN this cruel practice. And make sure birds never lose their ability to fly.
