Action New Orleans exists to make life better for residents of New Orleans.

** On this Giving Tuesday, let's build support for the people of New Orleans.
------------------------------------------------------------

Mayor LaToya Cantrell puts the people of New Orleans at the heart of everything she does. Her agenda centers on a single question: how do we make life better for our residents?

She’s been answering that question since she took office last year, and underlined it in the most recent election:
* We improve our city by kicking off the most aggressive infrastructure investment in the city’s modern history, using #FairShare revenue and $500 million in municipal bonds.
* We protect our residents from discrimination with our new Human Rights Commission.
* We create $25 million in funding to support affordable housing.

Action New Orleans exists to build support for Mayor Cantrell’s agenda. To take her vision and help turn it into reality. There’s no better example than the November 16 election.

Our team of grassroots organizers – over 150 strong – knocked on more than 70,000 doors, meeting New Orleanians where they live so that we could understand their priorities. We made more than 50,000 phone calls, reminding residents of the stakes in the election. We sent more than 350,000 text messages to remind New Orleanians to get out and vote – and bring a friend.

The results speak for themselves. Turnout in New Orleans jumped by almost thirty percent from the first round of voting in October. We helped re-elect Governor John Bel Edwards, the only Democrat in the Deep South. We helped send new representatives to Baton Rouge who share Mayor Cantrell’s priorities and vision. We passed three ballot initiatives that will improve our infrastructure, create affordable housing, and strengthen the city’s efforts to fight discrimination.

Thank you for your support.
