Hi John,

Today is Juneteenth, the anniversary of when the last enslaved African Americans were freed in 1865, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

On June 19th, we commemorate a moment in our country’s history that all should celebrate: The beginning of our journey as a country that truly lives up to our values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all Americans.

While we have made great strides in our country for racial equity, we still have a ways to go, and Joe is dedicated to the fight for racial justice.

We hope you take time today to peacefully reflect.

Team Courtney
