John,
On Father’s Day, families came together to celebrate their father figures – but for far too many families, families like mine, the day is a reminder of the people who aren’t with us because their lives were stolen by gun violence.
Today, I’m coming to you as a father whose daughter was senselessly murdered by a gunman with an assault weapon, because the only way we can stop further tragedy is together . I am asking dads and all Americans to sign onto my letter demanding that Congress take action to finally protect our families:

Celebrations like Father’s day, birthdays, and holidays will pass by, but the pain of losing my daughter will always remain. I am a father of two children, Jesse and Jaime. Jesse is 21 now, but Jaime will always be 14 – she was murdered alongside 13 other children and three of their teachers at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. My son now lives with the permanent scars of having heard his sister get shot.
I am a father who lives with the sound of that single shot that murdered my daughter, ensuring that she will be forever 14. I am a father who hopes his daughter died instantly, otherwise, that means she suffered. I am a father who is fighting to honor his daughter’s murder with action and I can’t do it alone. So, I’m asking you right here, right now, to join me:
I’ve set a bold goal of getting 1,000,000 Americans to show their support for this letter and demand that Congress take action to save lives – and I’m still missing your name. Please, John, will you add your name now and prevent other families from tragedy? [[link removed]]
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for taking action so that no other father has to go through the loss of their child. Thank you for taking action to honor Jaime.
