Friends -
On the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Americans across the country give back by making donations to support causes they believe are making a difference.
It’s called "Giving Tuesday" and this year we hope that you’ll consider donating to the cause of making our communities safer from gun violence.
Since I was shot more than seven years ago, I have tried to live my life without limits — constantly setting tougher and tougher goals for myself.
Some of those goals only I can achieve.
But the truth is, most of them require the support and help of many others. I think you can probably say the same for most of the accomplishments you are proud of, or moments of adversity you overcame in your own life.
The fight to change our gun laws is no different. The progress we’ve made is because we’re in this fight together. And the distance we have left to travel is not something anyone can do alone.
So today, on Giving Tuesday, I am asking:
Like you, I have always tried to give back to causes greater than myself.
As part of my recovery, I’ve trained for and ridden in El Tour de Tucson, a 25-mile bicycle race that helps raise money for charity.
Today, I hope you’ll give something to a cause greater than yourself as well. And I would be honored if you chose to make it on behalf of our lifesaving work to change our gun laws.

As always, thank you. Your support means the world to me.
