John,
In 2018, three moms founded Parents Against Vaping e-cigarettes (PAVe) as a grassroots response to the predatory behavior of e-cigarette companies like JUUL that were targeting teens.

How did we know? Because months before the Surgeon General declared youth vaping an “epidemic," we discovered that JUUL had sent a representative into our sons’ unsuspecting high school to tell 9th graders that the company’s wildly popular flavored e-cigarette was “totally safe."

JUUL’s goal? Hooking young people on these stealth-by-design nicotine-delivery devices, following a version of the playbook that Big Tobacco has used time and time again.

This time, they made a mistake: Big Tobacco messed with the wrong moms.

JUUL and Big Tobacco have created the most serious adolescent public-health crisis our country has faced in decades. More than five million teens are vaping, many suffering from severe addiction to the enormous amounts of nicotine contained in e-cigarettes. Nicotine harms their developing brains, and more scientific evidence about the dangers of vaping mounts by the day.

We won’t let Big Tobacco get away with it.

In little over a year, Parents Against Vaping e-cigarettes (PAVe) has sparked a national movement of parent advocates fighting JUUL and Big Tobacco to protect all of our kids.

PAVe volunteers have testified multiple times in Congress, to the FDA and in legislative hearings. Last month, we spoke on behalf of families from across the country when we pressed the President for federal action at the White House Vaping Summit.

In 2019, we’ve achieved some major victories, helping pass laws that ban flavored e-cigarettes in counties, cities, and states including Los Angeles, New York, and Massachusetts.

And we’re just getting started.

In 2020, we’ll keep fighting for legislation to ban flavored-e-cigarettes from Maryland to Hawaii. And we’ll keep educating, activating, and supporting parents whose families have been affected by this crisis.

But we can’t do it without your help!

That’s why on this Giving Tuesday we ask that you contribute to PAVe. Every dollar you give will help us build out our non-profit organization as we unite more parent volunteers to take on Big Tobacco and keep e-cigarettes away from our kids!
