Hi John,

As the days are getting longer and the sun is shining we can start to spend more time outdoors, enjoying nature and for some of us going to festivals. For Greenpeace summer is an exciting time of the year as since 1991 we have been at Glastonbury festival sharing our vision for a greener and more peaceful world. This year will be no different, as after three years the festival is back so if you are at Glastonbury then come join us to party with a purpose but if festivals are not your thing then grab a tee to help raise awareness and funds to support our vital work.

Greenpeace at Glastonbury, since 1971โ€ฆ

The Greenpeace Field is a staple at Glastonbury, sitting at the heart of the worldโ€™s most famous music festival. The countdown is on to the return of the Greenpeace Field at Glastonbury!

We're celebrating our many years of activism by re-releasing our original rainbow warrior design from over 30 years ago in collaboration with Glastonbury festival. This graphic was created by the late Hilary McManus, who also designed Glastonburys' 'dancing figures' logo!

For five nights and four days, the Greenpeace field is not just a place for environmental activism, itโ€™s a top-ten Glastonbury experience that attracts thousands of visitors every year with our fun activities for children to free solar-powered showers, vegan food and star-studded gigs. If youโ€™re at the festival make sure to pay us a visit but if you missed out on tickets or itโ€™s not your thing then get your Greenpeace merch to wear loud & proud!: [link removed]

Rave tree ๐ŸŒž

โ€œThis year weโ€™re creating an experience at Glastonbury Festival that inspires change through the celebration of protest, activism and people power. We want to shine a spotlight on our past achievements, motivating us to take a stand today and explore all the ways to create the change we want to see in the world.

Our giant Rave Tree is also back with a bang, hosting an incredible line-up of DJs and artists, plus live music with an all-female or non-binary line-up on Friday, so if you're at Glastonbury; come down to the Greenpeace Field, grab yourself a Tee and join the fun!โ€

Thank you, this is made possible by supporters like you!

Festival Ready ๐ŸŒˆ

In 1992 Michael Eavis personally wrote to Lord Peter Melchett, then Executive Director of Greenpeace, to invite the environmental organisation and their supporters to be a part of Glastonbury Festival. Michael felt that the festival could help Greenpeace promote their vision of a future where the planetโ€™s ecosystems are protected for generations to come. At the time the publicโ€™s concern about the environment had replaced their worry about the Cold War and so he looked to Greenpeace to express those concerns at the festival.
