Hi John,

This week, we are posting #7DaysOfTransTruths on Instagram.

Open a door on Instagram every day to discover something new about being a young trans person in the UK.

In 2004, the UK’s landmark law called the Gender Recognition Act (GRA) finally allowed trans people to have their legal gender recognised. But since then, it’s become out of date and the UK is no longer leading on LGBTI rights.

By excluding young trans and non-binary people under the age of 18 the GRA ignores the rights of thousands.

This is why we are fighting alongside the charities Mermaids and Gendered Intelligence for the rights of young trans people. They provide services, resources and training to change their lives for the better.

Everyone has the right to be recognised for who they are. So we want a new law that will allow anyone of any age to legally register their true gender identity should they want to.

Act now

Thank you for your ongoing support.
