Maryland politicians love to say stuff like "Our state needs X" or "Marylanders want Y" without ever asking a single person for their input.

But this campaign is different. Our campaign is powered by working people, for working people. My team and I don’t shape our policies based on what out-of-touch establishment leaders think sounds good in a headline, but by the real ways in which state government can tackle the day-to-day struggles impeding too many Marylanders from meeting their full potential.

That’s where you come in. You have a big say in the decisions we make, including the top issues we talk about on the campaign trail and online.

So before we finalize our campaign strategy for the final five weeks ahead of our July 19th primary, I want to hear from you.

I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating: state government ought to be a transformative force for good in Marylanders’ lives. And I want to hear what specific issues are most important to you so I can fight for policies that will make your life better.

As governor, I will take immediate action to curb the effects of climate change on the Chesapeake Bay because the home of Katie, a local farmer from Easton, will be underwater in ten years if we don’t.

On day one, I will increase pay for public school teachers and education support professionals because a public school counselor from our state simply does not have the capacity to support the emotional and mental health needs of over 700 students and families while making less than $50k a year.
