Below is a personal message from Susie Lee. You can chip in to help her campaign reach its mid-month goal here. →

Folks, this is a longer message but I hope you’ll read it as it comes from the heart.

I want to tell you about one of the things that motivates me to show up and fight the good fight in Congress – thinking of families like mine.

I’m a mother of two kids, Nevada and Cody, who are my pride and joy. If you’re a parent, you can relate when I say that much of what I do is for them.

It’s no secret that being a parent is a full time job. When they’re young, they call out “Mom!” or “Dad!” so frequently that you forget your own name!

And no matter what age they are, the want to give them everything you possibly can and more is always there.

When I first ran for office, I made it one of my priorities to make life easier for parents who are working, on top of raising their children. I know it’s not an easy task and if there’s anything I can do to take pressure off of working families – I’m sure as hell up for the task.

But I need to be honest with you. When extremist candidates like my Republican opponent, April Becker, stand on their pedestal to shout divisive and bigoted rhetoric, it worries me about the future for families across our state.

Nevadans are some of the kindest, most caring people you can meet. April Becker is wrong to think that we have any interest in showing our kids that the future of their state will be centered around hatred and lies.

Whether it’s promoting fallacies about LGBTQ+ people, telling our daughters what they can and cannot do with their own bodies, or showing our kids that truth doesn’t matter, April is creating an environment that is harmful to Nevada families.

For me, fighting for families has been at the heart of my mission in serving as Congresswoman for Nevada’s Third District.

I’ve advocated for putting money back in the pockets of working parents, I’m a staunch supporter of the Equality Act that tells our kids that we love them for who they are, and I’m working hard to lower prescription drug prices for every family across our state.

I have the fire in my belly to keep this fight going strong, but I also know when I need to ask for help to get it done. And folks, this is one of those moments.

I’m asking – will you take a moment and please chip in $10 to my campaign’s mid-month goal? This race is awfully tight and families across Nevada deserve someone who will fight for their best interests in Congress.
