John,

With the campaign season in full swing, we wanted to update you on what we've been up to on the campaign trail.

In The Community:

The best part of this campaign has been time on the road meeting supporters like you, John. We’ve visited all 11 counties, most more than once by now, and we’ve put a lot of miles on the car. It’s easily been the most rewarding part of the job, and here are a few (of the many) highlights:

Flag Day in Hudson and an Indivisible Columbia New York Forum in Chatham

The Cortland County Dairy Parade

Visiting McMahon's EZ Acres in Homer and Speaking to the Cortland County Dems

Registering new voters at the Ithaca Festival and speaking with the Sullivan County Dems

Hitting the road in our new (and massive) district is the most fun part of our campaign, but it does take time away from the important work of raising the resources to win this toss-up district in November. So, John, if you can pitch in a few bucks to help us close the gap, it will help Josh continue to meet voters:

In The News:

From the start of this campaign, Josh has always pledged to fight for Upstate New Yorkers and push for a better path for future generations. At the bedrock of this, we must improve the economic opportunities available in our communities and aim to reduce inequality. Josh wrote this Op-Ed explaining his plan to forge a better economic path forward for everyone who calls Upstate New York home. If you have not had a chance to read it, we would encourage you to take a look or check out our campaign website for our full economic policy platform.

READ THE OP-ED ([link removed])

Josh also recently penned this letter to the New York State Public Service Commission and expressed his strong opposition to NYSEG’s proposal to increase prices on Upstate New Yorkers who are already struggling to get by. The proposed 22.2% average increase in prices for electricity service and a 15.2% average increase in prices for gas service is completely out of touch with reality, and it will only exacerbate the economic hardships facing many working New Yorkers, small businesses, and senior citizens. Our public servants should be working to lower costs, not make them worse. In Congress, you can count on Josh to always be on the side of working families, small businesses, and our seniors. Please, if you haven’t already, read Josh’s full letter to the New York State Public
Service Commission.

READ THE LETTER ([link removed])

Federally, the threat of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade gets heavier every day. A decision of this nature dangers lives, tramples everyone’s right to bodily autonomy, and is completely out of touch with how the majority of Americans feel about abortion. Josh is committed to defending reproductive rights, including access to abortion. He recently wrote this letter to The Justice Department encouraging Attorney General Merrick Garland to take immediate action and prepare affirmative civil litigation to protect women’s access to abortion services. You can read the full letter here.

Get Out To Vote:

Finally, we wanted to send a final reminder to get out and vote in the June 28th primary! Even though we aren't on the ballot this primary, it's vital that as many people as possible vote.

Early voting begins TODAY! Check out your local Board of Elections page to find your nearest early voting site. And if you're voting on Election Day, you can find your polling place here >>

John, thank you for standing with us during this campaign update. Supporters like you are what keep us going every day. Before you close this email, we have one final ask: Can you please pitch in $5 or whatever you can to help ensure we can win this toss-up seat and send Josh to Congress?
