“Sedition” is defined as the act of trying to overthrow the government, and for too long people guilty of trying to wage war on the government are still running it.

 

People who invade the Capitol should not hold elected office. So long as Trump and his fellow violent seditionists remain at large, no one in America is truly safe. 
Call upon Congress to lock them up.

Trump and his cronies were violating American Democracy long before they encouraged their armed lackeys to literally invade the government. 
If there are no consequences, they will push further and further until something breaks.
