Two years ago today, we, at the National Immigration Law Center, secured a crucial victory for immigrant youth when the Supreme Court struck down the Trump administration’s unconscionable attempt to terminate DACA.
Today, in the week that DACA turns 10, I'm reflecting on my memories of being at the Supreme Court for this life-changing victory and what must happen next. To learn more about our victory and its impact, watch my video here >>>
The fact is that while DACA has been a transformational policy, immigrant youth are still not fully recognized as the aspiring citizens they are. Until we forge a pathway to citizenship, our fight continues. Right now, that means we will keep calling on Congress to pass permanent protections for immigrant youth this year.
The time is now to create a pathway to citizenship for all undocumented immigrants in the U.S. Thank you for standing with us.
