The same groups that have been targeting progressives across the country are coming for me, too. A hedge fund billionaire-backed super PAC is spending at least $1 million in misinformation ads in an attempt to unseat me.

Like the right-wing groups that poured upwards of $20 million into my race to try to defeat me back in 2020, these super PACS are ready to spend whatever it takes to maintain the status quo and derail our work for progress.

We refuse to let billionaires and super PACs get in the way of our fights to guarantee human rights like healthcare, housing, clean water, and living wages. But the spending will only ramp up from here, and Ilhan’s race could be next.

We need to organize twice as hard to power our movement because we don’t have — or want — the support of super PACs backed by billionaire hedge fund investors. We count on grassroots contributions to run our campaigns.

That means we don’t take a penny from the corporate PACs hell-bent on blocking our progress, so we’re turning to you ahead of our quarterly fundraising deadline to make sure we can defeat our conservative primary opponents.
