We would appreciate prayer for the launch of a boat project in Ghana: that God will make a way for the police administration to give permission for the relocation of the project. This project will bring police presence to Lake Volta, where many children have been trafficked into the fishing industry. We hope that this police presence will discourage fishermen from using slave labor and help with identifying cases of trafficking in more remote areas.
Latin America
Praise God for the recent expansion of interinstitutional cooperation between IJM Bolivia and Bolivia’s oldest university. Under this agreement, the university will reopen its legal clinic, which will train law, psychology and social work students while attending to cases of violence against women, childhood and adolescents free of charge. Please pray for the success of this new partnership, and that in the long run it will ensure more professionals are equipped to serve and seek justice in their communities!
South Asia
Praise God for the recent conviction of a rock quarry owner who had exploited 29 people for many years. IJM assisted the government in rescuing these families in July 2010, and since then we have supported public prosecutors in the case against their abuser. He was recently found guilty of using bonded labor, and he was sentenced to seven years in prison and forced to pay a fine to the survivors. Praise God for the diligence of the legal team over the last 12 years, and pray this conviction would be welcome news to these survivors as they continue life in freedom.
Southeast Asia
Praise God for new hires within the Southeast Asia region! As IJM grows and expands, we are grateful for the people who have been brought to join the fight. Please pray specifically for our first staff in Indonesia. Pray that God will encourage them and provide them with necessary resources for a smooth onboarding!

Please pray for all IJM team members traveling to our field offices this summer. In the coming weeks, we will have various teams deployed to countries around the globe to allow donors to witness the work of IJM firsthand and meet IJM staff members and survivors. We also lift up our creative teams traveling to gather content such as photos and videos of our survivors, staff and partners.
